Just thought I would mention this in case there is any interest. I thought it was a pretty good price on a new one. They have 4 left at the moment. :D

I am sure it is legit, it is just interesting to see that all the knives that user has for sale have free shipping, no returns, and have closeout prices.

Pretty sure (now - after some checking) that it isn't who you are thinking of. :D

In fact, the seller has a pretty good rep in the knife community as far as I can see.

like jeff? why would he do ebay and a store. it spilts (not to mention complicates) order's. why two places? what would be the benefit of that? "cs has the lowest price" he would want his rep to stay as such. "cs is the best to buy from"
i bought from jeff before and he gave me deals not fromt he site directley and he sends paypal invoices. i was curious why he has a paypal too

A number of folks, even Spydieguys, have done $40 Tasmans in the last few weeks. Spyderco must be doing a promotion with them. As for why you would use two marketing channels, ebay is a good place to dump a quantity that would take much longer to sell at your website.

I can verify that Ironmistress is in fact the Cutlery Shoppe. I bought a Spydie from Ironmistress last week, and was surprised when I got a shipping notice originating from the Cutlery Shoppe. Very quick shipping, and another good deal from Jeff at CS.

No idea who the ebayer is that people are referring negatively to.
35+ :spyder: since 2009, and counting...

That's interesting, since I had looked on CutleryShoppe's web site last week and didn't see the Tasman there (as I was already ordering 4 other knives from him) so I picked one up from the poorfish deal on Ebay that was mentioned here, also $40 and free shipping, but since he is in Texas I had to pay sales tax :( .

I gotta quit reading about these deals, I'm buying waaaay more knives than I have pockets for :) .

I have bought several knives from Jeff at CS that were not listed on his website, I just call and ask if he has them and so far he has.

Well, didn't mean to start a bunch of controversy with this. I was just trying to point out a great deal.

Anyway, it arrived in the mail today. Great knife, it bumped my PE Merlin out of my pocket as part of my EDC.

I have found that poorfish often has knives listed on ebay that are not listed on their own website as well. I have bought from both and have been very satisfied. My $39.95 Tasman was in my mailbox when I got home yesterday. :D
