so, the other day, whilst searching for some props for an upcoming show that I am working on, i was in one of my favorite Prop sources and I found something that made me laugh out loud!
Made of Foam, bendy and very, very accurate, right down to the Spyderco VG-10 marking if it wasnt $50 i would have bought it right there on the spot
Luckily, i had my real cricket clipped to the Molle strapping on my Camera bag, so i was able to whip it out and take a good comparison picture.
now, i just cant wait to see it used in some movie!
well there you go boyos
Cheers!

Yeah wouldn't using the Spyderco bug logo be just as bad as leaving branding words on a prop?
Normally I wouldn't think that it'd be that big of a deal, but knowing how Spydercos are normally used in movies (i.e. as a scary weapon by a bad bad man), I'd think Spyderco might have an interest in controlling their publicity and thus their reputation a bit, especially since they are so distinctive.

I would think they would like the free advertising. Hollywood sells a lot of stuff without even trying. Some brands even pay for a shot in a movie or show.

Artistic license goes a long way. It could be accurate to the story, fact or fiction.

Product placement even not in scenes with the principal talent is still worth something.
