Hey It depends on what you use it for

Or you could get both serrated and strait

Fly,

If you can't make up your mind, and the price isn't short-termed, go for the 50-50 blade. It should be out shortly. That gives you a little bit of both and should work for most applications.

Most <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>nuts would go for the fully serrated Spydie.. Sometimes, its cool to have both PE and SE! *hee-hee!* <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

CF Dragonfly,

Heck, you might as well get a Dyad or a Dyad Jr. Those little boogers are just what you need! SE and PE all in one package!

Well I wanted a clip on my next knife, and I know that the MiniDyad has a clip but the opening holes are not very big, and I was thinkin if it would be possible to have a clip put on the dyad jr.....just a crazy idea<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

..Oh and the big dyad is a little to much $$$

CFDragonfly,
First question. Are you able to sharpen serrations?? If not, get the plain edge. I have a plain edge SS Delica. If you can sharpen serrations and already have a plain edge blade, get the full serrations. Everyone should have at least one Spyderco with full serrations.
Let us know what ya decide. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

For EDC I think PE is better.Maybe 50/50

I thought about it and I think I'm going to get a plain edge if I can find them for cheap.......I can't sharpen serrated edges that well so thats why I want to get a Pe.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Another vote for the full Spyderedge.
I've got the Delica SE in VG-10 and I highly recommend it. I have not found anything that I can't cut with the SE, stopping just short before USE turns into ABUSE.
I don't worry about sharpening the serrations, because I bought the 204 about two weeks ago and it works great. The triangle shaped stones allow for easy serration sharpening.
Hope the info. helps.

I'll vote for PE. It's easier to field sharpen, and far better for precise cuts required in EDC. While SE is better for tough cuts, PE works well for fine work.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.
