I'm weak...

#1

Post by Franciscomv »

I went to a friend's gun shop today to chat a bit before heading to work and after explaining all the very well thought out reasons for not buying the NIB Yojimbo he had for sale I made the mistake of holding it. Now I'm $230 poorer. :D

It's a funny looking design, but it works. No doubt about that. Being a user more than a collector I don't usually go for out of production models, but I'm really liking this one for EDC.

I'm at work, so I don't have a camera on me, but I'll take some pics when I get home.

....you never see them. anywhere! and never nib. and never the black. why the blue dodo and blue yojimbe not rare and not sought after and the "black" is like crack. everyone wants it and would sell there mother for it? to me that crazy blue color is way cooler and i love it way more than standard black?

Yojimbo is an excellent EDC for utility or SD.

NICE PRICE!!! Poorer in cash, richer elsewise.
I find it hard to buy a knife in a gun shop. I'm looking to try and get a back-up/safe queen ATR Ti and a little voice keeps telling me,... yeah, but for that kind of scratch you can get that little Ruger,....

That's very wise. One of my best friends works there, and I usually go shooting with one of the owners. So even if I don't have cash or a credit card on me they'll set a knife or gun apart for me. Since they are only three blocks away from my office and we have lunch toghether regularly, it kills my finances!

I'm counting the minutes to my lunch break so I can try out the Yoji on some carrots and cucumbers. :spyder:

Here are a couple of very bad pics. I took one with my S&W M&P because they're both ugly as sin tools, IMO of course, that work well!

Just the pic, I haven't scratched it yet. But I will! I know it's supossed to be an MBC design, but it's such a great utility blade I'll carry it quite often. I alredy used it quite a bit today and I'm very happy with it.

Still contemplating if I should buy one, too...

The previous one didnt really do it for me, but that was a 2nd hand one, and defiantly used. This one should be shiney and NIB... Tempting, I guess.

Still: nice knife, and a nice pair of SD-tools you have there.
