The material is steel Spyderco himself. The steel is polished to high gloss and take this approach to light, that it is dark steel.

As I said there is no black color, the handle is steel used by Spyderco. Placing a black card about the piece when you take the picture, you get the surface appears black and is very well appreciate the contrast of the engraving.

Very impressive! So, you didn't use any paint of any sort?
- best wishes, Jazz.

Very nice work. I'm a little confused with the black. You're saying it's mirror polished and the black is just reflection from a black object?

Admittedly, I have not used this painting to printmaking. His friend Paul (the forum) has some pictures of an engraving on its website and you can see that I did not use paint.

Yes.
Attempt to take the picture that reflects the black color of the cardboard on the polished steel and so can see the steel surface black.

Once again Antonio shows us incredible jobs. When he touch a knife this knife turns into jewel.

Thanks for the comments.
The handle is stainless steel, but the photos became obscured the merits of the knife.

Antonio, I think it more a case where you have both delighted our eyes with the beauty of your craftsmanship and provided us a valuable lesson in knife photography at the same time. I suspect that most here, like myself, know we could never match your skill at engraving, but the photographic technique with the black cardboard is something we may now want to try ourselves. I know I'll be trying it very shortly.
