Just wanted to give a shout out to fellow forumite, Andrew (polishsumgai) for hooking me up with a PE. I've had a CE for quite a while but really wanted a PE. Awesome knife, Bro. Many thanks!!

Darn, you guys are lucky! I thought I was finally going to get a D'Allara. Some guy advertised that he was selling his Spyderco collection on Craigslist here in Denver. We exchanged a couple of emails and I was getting excited. This morning I emailed him because his ad was no longer on Craigslist and he told me that he was pulling his collection from local sales and posting everything on ebay. I guess If I want it bad enough, I can bid on it. Sounds like he has a pretty nice collection, too.

I was able to source out a local LE supplier who has some of these still NIB, but they are the full serrated models.
They are clearing them out. Im assuming this knife is out of production.

The fully serrated model was the
D'Allara Rescue (C82BK)...
The
D'Allara Drop Point (C82BK2) came in PE & CE...
Both of these models are now discontinued, but I've enjoyed carrying both. The D'Allara DP is a favorite for EDC with its 3-D FRN handles.

I like the rescue because of how chunky it looks and heavy duty. Great feel to it with gloves on. It will replace my Gerber Gator Serrator on my gun belt.

Yes, I agree with the great feel and the confidence that gives me in use.

I've felt this was underrated. I got one but the wife really likes it. Oh well. Next to BG-42, I love VG-10 steel. Don't know how to make this knife better in 2nd edition.

I believe slimmer, G10, and FFG blade. I'd have to check the link on my thread though as that's just off the top of my head.
The original is a GREAT knife. I only have the Rescue but it cuts like a chainsaw and the PE tip is very stout. Blisterpacks/Clampacks self-open when they see it coming. :p
