Turned out very good. Are the carbon fiber inserts flush with the handle or do they stick up a bit?

Hi Jay, they stick out about .030", I used .080" carbon fiber leftovers from my swick and mule MT-03 scale projects.

Looks very good, I prefer CF over the olive wood.

It definitely makes this knife "dressier"
I used to NOT like thumbholes. Until I used one.
Just like I didn't like the look of Spyderco knives in general. Until I held one.

It is very nicely done, and it looks good yet in this case I prefer the charm of the classic olive wood scales.
