Anyone see this one yet? I heard about this one earlier in the week. It's now listed for preorder on a certain online site. 500 Pieces. Dealer exclusive.

If so, you know what to do! I hope people realize that you can't sit around and wait on this one, like they tried to do with the Forum Native. You snooze, you definitely lose.

exciting news, wonder how it will affect the sales of the s30v all Ti version? I have several of those on pre-order but would rather have m4 steel. As mentioned dont hesitate, Roger is excellent to deal with and a heck of a nice guy, I have been lucky enough to speak with him on several occasions and hes the best in the business! Thanks to Sal and Co and Knifeworks!

S30V is no slouch, and M4 is definitely not stainless. With a run of 500 pieces, I'm not sure it'll have any effect. Look at the 400 piece run on the Manix 2 in S90V - it didn't slow sales of the M2 down at all. In fact, I bought a CPM154 Manix 2 just because I'd bought the S90V sprint, so it might actually increase sales of the Ti/S30V knife.

Well, I sent my e mail off to get on the pre order list. We'll see if I end up getting one. This should be a great knife. RIL for a tad more reliability than a liner lock, One G-10 slab for grip, and CPM M4 for a steel that has excellent edge retention, excellent toughness, and it gets sharper than any other steel that I have tried. I can't wait, this knife would definately be one of my EDC's that gets some serious use. I hope Spyderco keeps the heat treat that they used for my CPM M 4 Mule, which is 62.5 RC. That knife dismantled a 400 lb. pig without breaking a sweat, and didn't even chip when used to cut the bottom of the legs off a the knee bone and to cut the head off. That is some real good toughness and excellent edge retention, and it's corrosion resistance isn't all that bad.

Sent in my info to get on the list. I still have plans to get the standard S30V version too.
