Without the clip, I find it hard to open the Cricket with one hand. That's the main reason that I keep it on; it gives my fingers something to hold on to while opening the knife.

I clip it in my change pocket on my jeans. '

I also have to agree with Fuglee, my middle and ring finger rest on the clip when opening and closing the knife.

Keep the clip on, whether you use it or not. It still can be dropped in your pocket and not take up any room like that and it does make it easier to open, like they said. Putting a small lanyard on also makes it feel a little longer in your hand, making it easier to open and use.

- best wishes, Jazz.

I don't have a cricket but i have a spin and i find the pocket clip does give you something to grip when opening the knife. SS is slippery and the clip helps me to keep my keys right at the top of my pocket when i wear my jeans and when i'm at work i just let it drop in. I'm sure the cricket isn't much different.

It's my money clip. :) Gotta keep the clip. Besides, as folks have pointed out, it's easier to open with the clip attached.

I also do not have the cricket, but have been considering it for my next purchase for a little while. I definitely plan on keeping the clip on for various uses such as a tie clip or money clip. Also, like a few others have mentioned, I have found the clip useful in other of my knives for gripping during the opening and closing of the knife.
