Thank you! I have been enjoying this forum, and spending money based on the threads here. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

As a kid, it was mainly Case & Buck knives. During my military service I came to appreciate Gerber. I later got interested in butterfly knives and became a Benchmade fan. Last year I picked up a <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> 204 Sharpmaker, and when Sal visited the BladeForums.com Balisong forum to discuss his butterfly project, I wandered over here and discovered this <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> forum.

After last September's atrocious acts, signs went up at the entrances to our local military reservation, to the tune that firearms, ammunition, and knives with blades greater than 3" are forbidden. While my EDC Benchmade 705 was okay, I learned that less than 2 1/2" is excluded as a "dangerous weapon", as far as Federal buildings are concerned, so became interested in knives which met this exclusion criteria. (Also, altho I carried it every day, I had never been entirely happy with my Benchmade December 2000 Knife of the Month moneyclip.)

Anyway, started looking at <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>, especially with Sal's emphasis on quality knives less than 2 1/2" in blade length. I've now got more than a few <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s, to include a Mouse on the way, thanx to the discussions on this forum. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
