RIT-dyed white spydies -- how are they holding up?

Here's a question to anyone who's dyed a white spydie with RIT dye... how's the dye-job holding up?
I'm especially curious if exposure to water causes any issues...

Would that work? I believe RIT only works on fabric.

Someone just posted a thread showing their "baby blue" dyed one. Looked pretty sweet.

After I saw that thread where someone did it, I plan on doing it to. It's just not a priority.
I am curious as well.

I have an Atlantic (Yellow) that I tried to dye green with a blue dye (RIT Powder). It turned out black, and the only way I've found to remove the color is to scratch away at the FRN. This knife is by no means an EDC knife but the dye has held up great.
My pics are in the Thread linked in the post above.

the reason i ask... my girlfriend is hellbent on a purple endura 4. i want to secretly make her one as a gift... but don't want to give her one that's going to get dye on her clothes/hands, or that's going to revert to non-purple after a year or so...
any further comments would be appreciated...

Gorgeous! Oh man, I am drooling all over!
Did you simply lower the FRN part of the knife into the dye? How long did you leave it there?

I want to try the red now on my ladybug SE.
Just like the purple ladybug it is very hard to capture actual color...

I put the whole knife in for about 1 minute.

I'm geussing i should boil the water and technically boil the knife since i can't take it apart i wonder if this will affect the action of it
