Bro,

Definitely the Bob Lum FB03. Hands down winner! I then would go for a Moran with a drop-point blade. Give me a few years, and I might even consider a Perrin.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

As far as making serrated fixed-bladed knives, I guess I am still pondering the notion. To me, having a slew of SE and 50/50 folding Spydies is enough for me. I prefer a PE blade for a hunting knife anyway. It doesn't rip open the "pee sack" like a SE does. Hee hee!

I can't say much for the Lumto, cos its too much of a closet queen for constant abuse in our jungles.. Besides that, its a little costly to toy around with.. And ~ Leather sheaths ain't gonna last too long in our hot and humid weather.. <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> *heh-heh!*

I have and love both the FB01 and FB02. The only tanto I liked was The Lone Ranger's sidekick. ><g> The FB04 I will have to handle before commiting. The two fixed blades I'm really looking forward to are the large 9" blade Fillet and the FB05 Temperance. It seems to have a lot of the attributes of the mourned large Calypso.

HOW ABOUT A FIXED BLADE WITH A WEEHAWK BLADE

The new Lum has become my favorite Spydie hands down. The balance is perfect and the grind is a work of art. The only problem I have encountered is the sheath. I can't find the right position for it and don't feel confident on my draw. All in all the best Spyderco made without a hole.

G-clips? I need one of those for my Perrin FB.

I currently only own the FB03 and FB04. Of these two, I keep the FB03 on my shelf, nicely displayed. The FB04 I carry.

The FB04 just fits my hand perfectly. It feels great. It's balanced perfectly on the finger choil. It's just amazing. With that said, I have to say that the first time I saw pictures of it and on display, I didn't think a whole lot about it. But then I picked it. It felt great, but I still bought the FB03. The next day, I immediately regretted not also picking up the FB04. I think the only drawback with the FB04 is the 5" blade doesn't really lend itself for display.

I only own the Bill Moran drop point, and I love it. When I first saw the knife, I liked the blade shape, but not the handle, but when I had it in my hands I realized that the handle was perfect.
What would I change? Umm... perhaps I would make the handle a tad longer. I like the pommel to protude behind my hand, but that is not really needed.
I also like the posibility of a 50/50 <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> edge for a general utility knife. It makes a lot of sense

Also, I thought I read that the forthcoming FB Temperance would come with serrations, also. Is this still true?
