I took a Spydie Wegner on trade a few years back. It's numbered on the blade "562". I liked it so much that I bought another one to carry and use and put this one in the safe.

That is the production number. Spyderco used to number the first production run of collaboration models like the Wegner and Centofante models. I can't help with a value, I've never been interested enough in the Wegners to see what they go for.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.
