My Mule Plan

#1

Post by GEAR_JUNKIE »

Hi guys. This is my first post on the spydie forums. I'm 14 and basically addicted to all types of outdoor gear. Guns, knives, and tac gear. The guns in our safe can be seen in my sig, and I have some high quality tactical gear, but all my knives are cheapos. I've finally made the jump into high quality knives. Bought my first spydie today, Mule Team in ZDP-189. Did I mention I'm really good with my hands? My dad is an airplane mechanic and I have access to a fully stocked shop that would make lots of people on this forum jealous. :D Ok enough about me, lets get on to the Mule.

I ordered the Mule today. I'm planning on CF scales from Black Site CF. Which have been ordered also.

http://www.blacksitecf.com/catalog/i18.html

I'm going to do hollow pins. Then I'm going to get a custom sheath made.

Can't wait to start and I'm looking forward to posting on the forums!

If you dont know already, wear protection on your skin, long sleeves and pants and most importantly a Quality respirator when working CF. Welcome to the forums!

Be sure to wear a pretty serious dust protection when sanding the CF, or it'll damage your lungs quickly.

Good luck for your MT job !

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I've been reading up on working with carbon fiber, and all of the above suggestions will be put into practice. I don't think it will be long till I'm completely addicted, the problem is finding money...

That's always the problem bro... lol
Thing I have found with spydies is that once you get one you find at least 5 more that you need and the list only keeps growing from there ;)

Those sound like good choices to me! I really like my military. Even though it is on the big side it is such an amazing knife.
