Hello fellow Spyderco owners. I have the tri-angle sharpmaker. I love it. Was wondering what other people's opinions are about it.

A great Spyderco product indeed. My favourite sharpener, and overall a great investment for a knife-person.

Keep 'em sharp,
Razorsharp.

I got the 204 about 5 years ago, pretty much used nothing else ever since.

Never had a problem with freehand sharpening and seen lots of good stones and systems but the 204 is just so comfortable and easy to use, I always go back to it.

Welcome to the Forum!!! :D I bought my SM about 5 months ago since I was unable to REALLY get my knives sharp with any other of the sharpening contraptions I had purchased over the years. After several weeks or months of practice I am now able to get knives wicked sharp like I have never done before. It takes a little practice to get YOUR form down, but once you do you will be sharpening like a pro in no time! I would recommend getting the diamond rods for when you need to rebevel or remove alot of metal quickly others swear by the DMT X-Corse for that job too. Enjoy your sharpening and don't hesitate to ask any questions!

Thanks for your opinions! I have had mine for maybe 3 or 4 years, I can't quite pinpoint the exact length of time. But I have sharpened a lot of blades. I have even sharpened a sword to cut through 1" saplings in one swing!
