Chokwe and the new g10 Dfly listed on KC.

unbelievably nice price for Chokwe! :) I think, the RIL not made from titanum, that's why it possible. (I also miss this info in the Supplement Catalog...)

Wow! I was not going to consider getting a Chokwe since it is a somewhat niche knife and I expected it to be well over $100, but at that price, I might have to get one!! The Dfly price surprises me a bit, though I guess it shouldnt given the price on the G10 delica/endura. ****, have to wedge the Chokwe in somewhere!!!

The chokwe is less expensive then I thought.Judging on that price the R.I.L is made out off steel not Ti,I could be wrong.

I sense the superhawk is very close to release as well.

Wow, if that's the actual street price of the Chokwe, then I'm pretty impressed! The Dragonfly is pricey, but I expected that. I'll still grab one, too cool to miss.

How long before that G-10 Dragonfly with wire clip ships?

Note they are both listed as "pre order". That's the same as the ZDP FRN Stretch II listed on the same page and which Sal commented would not be shipping until fall. While one, or the other, or both, of these may ship sooner, they also may not.

I'm not surprised with the Chokwe price

I am surprised though by the Dfly, same price as a UKPK and not S30v or domestic.

Edit: but then again, Sal did say that the Yen is strong against the dollar.

$76 for Chocwe probably is an error. I remember it was said: MSRP $220, like Milly.

That can't be right for the Chokwe folder, since it is S30V steel and all, plus I'm sure the framelock portion is Ti. Where's Clovisc when you need him? :) I would expect the street price to be at least $140-$150. If however that is the street price and it's true, I will be getting at least one.

I also think that price is a mistake. The MSRP I was given is $220.

I thought it was made in Taiwan like the Sage and the new Terzuola Slip-It, so the $76 price is probably right.

If we pre-order now, do they have to honor the listed price?

Chokwe seems like a steal at that price. The D'fly however is awful steep. I may just have to pass on it even though I am a huge D'fly fan. I was really looking forward to it, but I already have an Urban and it pretty much fills the same role.

I don't have the Chokwe price here, but that sounds low. The Chokwe RIL is 6Al4V Titanium.

We expect the Chokwe before the D'fly but neither is here now.

I guess the advantage of pre-order is that they can guess how many they should pre order.

I'm not so sure about that. Part of me wants to say that they don't bill you until the knife ships, so they can change the price displayed on the website between now and then. But I don't know, I've never pre-ordered anything (knives anyways). Someone who has done this can give you a more accurate answer.

Maybe they forgot to add a "1" to the beginning of the price? That's a steal at that price then, especially since KC is often on the expensive side... at least as far as new releases go.

But I'm not interested enough to buy one, and my income is very limited so I'll have to pass on the dragonfly for now. I'm still waiting for more Terzuolas to come in so I can get my hands on one.

It says pre-sale, maybe if you pre-order you can lock in that price. :)

It looks like they have the stretch and chokwe prices flipped.
