Sal, any update on this? I really like this idea, and hope it makes production. My vote is for a leaf shaped blade.

I think I mentioned in another thread ("Spydercos you would like to see" or something like that) that the Superhawk has the best handle of all Spydercos, plus it is a comp lock, my favorite. Therefore I suggested back then that it would not be too difficult to give it a more conventional blade. My first choices would be a Military-style or a leaf-shaped blade.
However, I am not sure I would be willing to settle for G10 or FRN scales, I love that peel-ply CF on the Stretch and the Superhawk.
Anyway, I definitely want to see more comp locks...

Textured CF like on the Sage would be my first choice, but G-10 is fine with me.

My favorite CF, you are right. I did not mention it because it was used only on the Sage and nothing else, I wonder if there were any production problems or QC issues making it too expensive...

Sounds like a great idea. I will put in my vote for carbon fiber as well.

I will be number one on Catamount's waiting list when this gets announced. I just love my Superhawk, and the great handle and lock on a leaf blade would be a great compliment to the hawkbill on the Superhawk.

Ever since I got my Superhawk, I've felt it would be a great handle for other blade shapes. Hope it comes to market and doesn't stay home.

Put a long narrow leaf blade in there like the big Calypso.

And make it S90V, please.

I agree big caly blade and a wharnecliffe. Just don't put the choil like on the superhawk blade give us a little more edge. I wish i could have a blade similar to the spyderhawk in the superhawk handle. Don't get my wrong i've been using my superhawk pretty much ALL day. Except when a hawkbill wouldn't be practical. I love it i just wish it were more hawkbill.

For me the Superhawk handle is probably the most comfortable. The Police 3 and Military have large handles that give me plenty of room to get a comfortable grip, but the Superhawk just fits the hand. I would definitely love it with a leaf shape blade. Since the Chinook has such a similar handle, I have been wanting to try it out when I get the funds.

A FFG 3.5"+ Leaf shape blade with Superhawk handle, Compression lock, and a SE blade is my dream knife. Of course I want both PE and SE though, please don't forget the teeth.

Not a bad idea, why let a nice handle design die on the vine and use another blade type ? Sounds good to me ! Regards MG2

A leaf blade would be cool, but the superwharnie idea has me thinking of a big chunky D'Allara Rescue blade on a SuperHawk handle. At that point, bladesteel would be irrelevant.

Ok, start with the Superhawk handle:
- Retain the Compression Lock
- Twill Carbon Fiber as in the Sage I and Terzuola slipit
- A leaf/Millie/Stretch shaped blade
- Full Flat Ground
- In S90V (the ultimate, all around, usable steel)
- Deep riding Wire Clip (subdued finish)
- Make its action as smooth as the D2 Para

= Instant classic and most desirable Spyderco for generations to come. Not to mention my certain pocket companion for the foreseeable future.
