I doubt they would make a fake knife of a knife already made in China, but who knows.

I can't see any of the images but I am sure that there are fake Tenacious knives out there. Try to post photos again.

This doesn't seem legit. Couldn't find any references on the forum with a search:

Benchmade has the same issue, tons of fakes some super obvious and others almost identical. I'd love to know what steel they actually use when it claims M390 or S90v etc. I'm sure it's not that but I'd hope it's not AUS6 or some super cheap steel, don't want to get ripped off THAT bad lol

I have a few nice knives (multiple benchmade don't hate me) but want my first spyderco and couldn't imagine buying from these sites. I only go to my local dealer who I know is legit, sadly he is out of stock on the spyderco I really want so waiting for them to get it in hopefully in the next couple weeks

Google Maps shows 5645 Coral Ridge Drive is a UPS store.

I'd like to know if their legit, too. Some hard-to-find models there.

So i purchased a Spyderco from a friend who I've purchased a lot of knives from in the past after doing a bit of searching I feel like it's a fake. Any confirmation would be appreciated I don't think he is selling them on purpose but either way I'm getting my money back

Dear HammyD:

Welcome to the Spyderco Forum.

Your knife appears to be a counterfeit of a Spyderco Subvert.

Stay safe,

Mike

Greetings to all forum members!
Please help me resolve the controversial issue - is this Spyderco Delica 4 knife an original or a replica?
This knife was bought at an auction in Japan.
If additional photos are needed to accurately resolve this issue, I will immediately provide them, just please tell me which ones.

P.S. Even if this delica really was from the old ones, then even though the pivot screw is a little similar, it’s still different, besides, the gaps between the groove of the axial one and under the clip weren’t back to back then, and most importantly, the inscription Seki and Japan were not made by laser then , and stamping

Image

the clip is short and the spider close to the edge

Fake: "ТМ" vs ® after "Delica", captions under images
I will personally explain this point to you, as a specialist in the field of registration and protection of intellectual property objects, - the TM designation is added to the image or text of trademarks during the process of their registration. And after the trademark has been officially registered and the Certificate of its registration has been issued, a publication has been made in the official bulletins about the registration of such a trademark, then the TM designation is replaced by ®.
This indicates that this knife is from the first releases when the DELICA trademark was in the process of state registration. And the booklet shown by you is from a later version, when TM DELICA was already registered.
With all respect - the fact that you are not aware of such nuances, and a priori consider knives with booklets with the TM mark instead of ® (or determine the originality of the knife based on the analysis of the box or booklet), in my personal opinion, does not at all indicate your expertise in this matter...

Also, there is no barcode sticker. it's fake 120%.
In addition to the sticker, there were other questions:
-short clip, larger than the original;
- the pivot screw is not the original shape;
-reduced gap between the axial groove and the holes for the clip;
- the inscriptions are not stamped but applied with a laser, if it's old knife;
-general crooked casting texture FRN;
-descents start too close to the spider-hole
