I have a question about Endura 4 Lightweights. I just got one from Amazon via a third party that is listed on Spyderco's website as a legit dealer.

My question is about the letters on the blade. On one side, the "SPYDERCO VG-10" appears to be stamped, but very lightly. It doesn't look as deep and bold as pictures I've seen. The other side has "SEKI-CITY JAPAN" on it, but it looks etched, not stamped. It doesn't have that deep indented look that I've seen in so many pictures.

Did Seki-city change the way they do the letters on Spyderco Endura 4 Flat Ground blades?

Everything else about the fit and finish of the knife seems okay, but I've read a lot of forum posts and watched a bunch of youtube videos where people point out the etched letters being a sign of a fake.

Thanks!

The knife is authentic. The style of the Seki ricasso stamps has changed a number of times. The FRN is correct, and only the newest Enduras have Sal's maker's mark like yours does. The maker's mark hasn't started appearing on counterfeits yet.

I agree, this looks legitimate. Use it in good health!

I have reported this seemingly fake Spyderco Street Beat Micarta about 20 times to ebay : https://is.gd/A6s1em

The markings are off and the seller has "more than 10 available" which for a popular discontinued knife is suspicious. If it weren't for the off-markings, I would had a hard time discerning that it was a counterfeit. Maybe get your legal department on this.

This looks to be a fake Spyderco Street Beat on ebay: https://is.gd/XYceF6 The markings are off and the seller has more than 10 available. This seems very unlikely for a popular discontinued knife. I reported the knife multiple times but ebay isn't doing anything about it.

This guy claim he bought the knives he’s selling directly from Spyderco.
I’m only wondering because I haven’t seen it offered anywhere else except on eBay.

How do I upload a photo here? Or on a file sharing site that does not cut the quality of the photo. Small details can be seen from the phone, but not from imgur

I've actually bought plenty of knives from that seller (Spyderco & non-Spyderco) and they've all been perfect.

pbknives.com seems to be selling knock-offs. I don't know if this has been mentioned or if there is a better place to post this.

Thank you for sharing kerrcobra! It appears that they are yet another site from the knifesolo.com folks.

For those of us who have had the misfortune of ending up with a knock-off, what is the course of action after discovering that you own a fake knife? I’m stuck between turning it into a beater and no longer naming it as part of my collection, or putting it on the market as a fake in hopes that someone might buy it (and hopefully not try to declare it as real in their collection). Any thoughts or suggestions? What have you done with your knock-offs?

Fake para 3s

Edit: bonus fake shirts.
I think this is considered counterfeit since it uses the copyrighted Spyderco logo.

I see multiple listings for these on eBay , Amazon, and a Australian knife trader site
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002652997325.html
I personally think they’re using the real deal, in pictures and video and then your stuck with a el Chinese cheapo 440c marked S35vn, sad part is 85% of average Joe’s can’t tell the difference between 440c and cpm S35vn, because knife companies muck around with hrc and run stuff soft

Here's more fakes from AliExpress.
If you look at suggestions under the listing, there's several other fakes.
