I Lost A Thread.....

#1

Post by Buzzbait »

Am I finally losing or mind, or was there a thread here today, on the unusual height of certain pocket clips? If there is such a thread, and you have the Power of Greyskull, please post this picture in that thread. The pic does a nice job of showing the difference in space between the clip and the scale of a Military, and the clip and scale of a Pacific Salt.

Well, in case that thread isn't located, thank you for posting that pic. I was unaware how much of a space there was between the clip & scale on the Millie (don't have one... yet). :)

You aren't losing your mind, I know I posted in that thread today. David must have decided to delete it.

Yep, I deleted it.

Reason being, I was already talking to Kristi and I wanted to make sure that I wasn't out of my mind with my clip problems. Then clovisc stated that I seem to have a lot of problems as of late. I decided to just keep it all via email between myself and the folks at Spyderco.

I didn't have any problems at all with what clovisc said, because yes I have had some recent problems with some clips and a few other things. I just decided that it was best to not drag it into the forums.

I appreciate your understanding in this matter and ask that you keep the caning to a minimum. :)

For those that wonder here is the original pic...

I will report on how my Pacific Salt that I traded for turns out in the clip department when I get it in the mail. I don't remember my Endura 3 having any clip issues from the factory (I managed to mangle it myself over time), but then again it wasn't titanium. I may just leave it off for loose pocket carry anyway since it is so light, but the clip should hopefully be agreeable with my jeans.

PS, I can't wait to use H1 steel!

That is THE BEST reason I have heard for this clip issue. :D

Thanks for the laugh.

Hmmmm...... It sounds like I'm going to have to make changes to my everyday dress of jeans and a t-shirt. The women are going to praise Spyderco for H1!!!!!

I just got an older Salt 1 (black, no big H1 logo on blade, older box, but unused according to the guy I got it from) and the clip works perfectly with jeans. The airspace for jeans looks identical to the clip on my CPD D2 Military.
