Prototype videos from the IWA Show

#1

Post by Mr Blonde »

This morning the IWA show in Germany started and I received special permission from Sal and crew to shoot and post some footage of the new production prototype models. I´m posting this directly from IWA. Spydercrew-member Jurphaas was kind enough to present a few of the production prototypes to me. So without any further ado, here are some clips of a few new models that are in the production pipeline.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cc8wunJiuh4&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cc8wunJiuh4&hl=nl&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I was also invited to bring my photo equipment to shoot photos of all the production prototypes. I´ll post those later when I get home.

Stay tuned.

I really want a chicago :D It's a mini sage!

Also, that Chockwe is a really impressive blade, I love the simplicity of it.

Thanks for the vids, Wouter. I thought the Leafstorm looked pretty interesting in the catalog, and the video reinforced that opinion. To my eye, the Leafstorm holds that same sort of industrial meets insectile appeal that some motorcycles do. This is the first I'm seeing of the Chokwe, but I think it's just gorgeous. It reminds me of a Police model from some far flung future reality. It's a very exciting knife!

Thanks Wouter. Can't wait to see your photos. I look forward to them every year.

The Chicago looks like a mini-me Sage. I really like it. I am afraid the price tag may be a bit steep though if its Seki made with CF  . I really question using CF over G-10 in today's economy, especially on a little knife like the Chicago.

OMG! I've been waiting for the Chokwe and it it does not disappoint! It's even a framelock (sweet!!!) and it looks so smooth when being folded! I could be wrong though but it looks bigger than the Endura? Could you confirm if this is so please?

Coming from this side of the world, I could just see it being a CONSTANT-USE/HARD-USE folder as its original African forefather. In this role, I hope to see it in H1 (how 'bout it Mr. Glesser?)

Gonna save up for it now!!!

Impressive. I didn't picture the Chokwe as something I'd be interested in, but that proto looks like a great EDC knife. Looking forward to your pictures. Thanks for the videos!
