Dragonfly and how popular it has become

#1

Post by rainbow stalker »

As you all know, a while back I had a thief break in to our home. All my knives were stolen, and a few other items. So far, some wonderful Spydie forum friends here on the forum sent spydies which I adopted and are very very thankful for. So I feel blessd.

Out of all the knives that were stolen, the only 2 that remain at large are my Dragonfly, and the Randall # 1 that my dad left to me.So how many of you carry a Dragonfly ?

:spyder: So a big thank you gos out to my friends that helped me in my time of crisis :)

A warm and just thank you for the froum friends who came to me in my time of crisis. It proves that there are still wonderfull human beings in our world.:):)

And still looking for a replacement of my dads Randall 1 combat knife that he left to me. any help would be aapreiceated. I could never afford one, but if any members have any ideas or advice. Please let me know. Thanks

If you have some patience there will be a G-10 version out this year. I have wanted a Dfly for a while now but held off when I heard about the G10 version. Patience sucks.

Is there an estimated delivery on the G10 Dragonfly? I think that will be the perfect version since G10 is my preferred material.

G-10 date

#7

Post by Cricket Bite »

Not sure when. They don't give out dates on releases anymore. Its not in the 2009 catalog so I think it might be after mid-year but I definitely could be wrong on that. I hope sooner than later. Also after the G-10 is out they will redo the FRN Dfly with a wire clip if all goes well. Look like a good future for the Dragonfly.

One of the G-10 ones will likely be my next EDC, especially if it has a wire clip.

Been carrying my SS PE since fall '01, and have a glasshart engraved SS PE as backup when I finally kill it. Still have to grab an etched one before they disappear.

Most days I carry a PE Dragonfly loose in the pocket. Great knife.

It could use an update, however. A deeper choil and some jimping on the spine would be perfect.

I have an AUS-8 dragonfly in PE (correct me if I'm wrong the new dflys are VG-10). Great little knife. Fits in my hand great for such a small knife. Wish it did have some jimping on the blade. Other than that it cuts well performs like the big :spyder: . I think every :spyder: nut should have a dragonfly.
