I rotate my knife on a daily basis. However, the most carried knife I have is my CF Caly 3.

Cheers,
Mike

It's one of the standards in my rotation. I like the Caly3 CF so much it's one of few models where I have a duplicate.

I love my CF Caly... But it's one of those knives that gets no love due to the competition...

Phoenix 70%
P'Kal 15%
Dodo 10%
Mili(s) 4%

So EVERYTHING ELSE has to fit into that remaining 1%..... Including G10 & CF Calys, Tasman, Sage.... even my precious Lil'Temp.... It's sad really.... So many great knives that don't get the love they should....

Caly/Kopa EDC

#6

Post by buckthorn »

G-10 Caly alternating with a Black Quince Kopa. The trade offs are that the Caly is the best built knife I've owned in forty years of daily carrying but a lot of days the smaller Kopa with the natural handle material feels more appropriate. Either one is paired with a Victorinox Camper.

I love my Caly3 CF!!!

Too bad I lost it at work last week.

I thought I dropped it on the floor, and somebody found it and pocketed.
Yesterday I received a call from one of my managers (she's super cool), and she's told me she found it clipped to a jacket which was hanging!!! LOL. How random was that. Anybody could have found it there and swiped it.

You bet! Caly3 is in my main rotation and is often my choice. Light, sleek, lefty friendly, deep clip. Its got the whole package.

But I just got my ZDP Lum today so there will be some competition!

I carry my CF Caly 3 on those occasions when I want something a bit smaller than a Stretch, but a bit bigger than a Kopa.

The CF CalyIII is my most carried :spyder: . It's an awesome knife. It's really not so different from my G-10 CalyIII but it always makes it into my pocket before the G-10 version. Glad to see other people carrying theirs, it is too nice a knife to sit in a drawer or safe for very long.

I EDC a Caly III, mostly. Occasionally bumped by a Persian, or if personal safety is an issue, then a Yo.

i dont think the CF version can handle the type of abuse i put my G-10 handle through on a daily basis. so i stuck with the g-10. the CF is nice though

Love my CF, I go back and forth it with my Centofante III. Always the CF for any dinner or dressy occasion. And a SE Delica as a back up/rough use knife-E

I carry EDC g10 Caly3 for more than two years. I have CF Caly3 as well, but I am not a big fan of polished laminated blades, so this knife never made to EDC group:Persian, Caly3, Kopa, Native4, micro-Dyad.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

Lol. When I read this post I started playing with the Caly 3 CF that is in my pocket right now. It is a fantastic knife, as are all the variations of the Caly 3.
Top :spyder:s : Caly 3, Stretch, Millie, Manix 2, Police, Kopa, Polliwog, Meerkat, Chinook III, and SuperHawk.
