Has anyone ever used Shoplite for Spyderco knives?
If so is it good service or bad service?

I should elaborate. You should make sure they have what you want. They have some very enticing things on their catalog. In two orders, I've received their confirmation of shipment and UPS Trace Number the day after I got the package. In both cases, of the two items ordered only one was received. When I followed up with their customer service I was told the missing item was either "discontinued-sold out" or "out of stock-on back order". I'm happy with what I got but I'm still waiting for information on the 'back order'. You decide.

Be careful, K/K, as I too have had some problems with Shoplite.com.
They do have a lot of up-to-date Spydies, but, as Jaxon mentioned, they do tend to pull the old "out of stock" routine.
Case in point:
I ordered a LTW Dragonfly and a drop-point Meerkat from them right around November sometime. They sent me an e-mail informing me that they got my order and that my knives would be on their way. I waited a few weeks, and still the knives didn't appear. I e-mailed them and they told me that: "Oh! We don't have the Meerkat yet, but we will inform you when it comes in! [BTW, we don't have any Dragonfly's in stock, but we should soon!"]
To this day I have waited to hear from them about my Meerkat. I did order my Calypso Jr. from them, and it came through without a glitch.
So, just be careful......

Jaxon,
Glad to hear that you were able to get a 'fly! I couldn't believe that they didn't have any when I tried to get one. Oh well. Pobody's Nerfect, eh?
My theory on knife companies, on the Web, is that if they don't have it in stock, then they should put a notice by it informing the buyer that it isn't available! This would make life so much easier for us consumers.....
Just my 2 cent's worth

Right Spydernut. I think they're just probably staffed lean and mean. Can't keep up with the volume we represent. I know of only two people in customer service at Shoplite. Trouble is, their shopping cart system acknowledges all of the items on your order even if they are not in stock. You are expecting to get what you ordered 'till you go back to get the real answer. I once tried to E-mail them as they suggested to check on availability and never got a reply. I'm going to persist and see if I can get the SS 'fly I ordered. I'll keep you posted if they come through. They do seem to be pleasant and trying to please though I think they just can't keep up and their shopping cart system may be a little weak.
Jaxon
ps: This is why the SFO is cool although kind of pricey.

Be alert when dealing with Shoplite. Prices are pretty good but inventory is lacking. You will think you are geting your complete order but when it arrives it will be incomplete. They will promise to send what is missing when it arrives and charge you for it then. I'm still waiting for an item and am about ready to tell them to forget it.
Robert is great to deal with but can't seem to impact on the inventory problem. Hope this helps.
