CPM-M4 Mule Team Pictures
Today my first Mule Team knife arrived. I love it. I will either be making scales for this myself or paying someone to do it. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to do the latter.
I figure that we don't often see pictures of a Mule Team knife with other knives so I wanted to share so other folks get an idea of the size. It's basically a tiny bit larger than the Delica or Salt 1 series of knives.
It had plenty of oil on it and after wiping it off a little to photograph, I applied some more oil and put it back in the box.
I love the little plastic round thing that Spyderco puts on the tip so that it doesn't "punch through" the boxes like some folks had happen on the first Mule Team knife.
I think this is $70 well spent and even though it's supposed to be a "testing" knife, I will probably take good care of this knife. It's the only Spyderco fixed blade I own. I plan on getting a Kydex sheath made for it also.
Thanks very much to Sal, Kristi, and all of the people at Spyderco for doing knives like this. It's pretty cool that we ask for stuff and they do it. Thanks for that!
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST YOUR OWN PICS......and....enjoy!

Handles for the Mule
I did not see another post for showing the M4 Mule and did not want to piggy back off of the orginal mule thread. So here is my Mule with Black Canvas Micarta handles...I am glad I did it myself and a big thanks to Quickbeam for the tutorial on the General Discussion Forum.

Sorry for the slow response...I have been at FT Benning getting all set another Iraq tour...yuck .DeltaWhiskey,
How did you cut your scales out? Coping saw or bandsaw or other?
I mainly used a rotary "dremel" type tool with a cutting wheel to cut down the scales close and then I used a rasp and a rotary hand sander to get it the rest of the way.

Thanks Brad!!!
OK folks. I just got my CPM-M4 Mule back from Brad Southard (Tricod) and here's what it looks like now. Brad also did the sheath for me. I love it. Perfection!
I want to say that this is the first work that I have had done by Brad and I think he did an excellent job. I always wanted a nice little fixed blade with green canvas micarta and red spacers. Now I have one.
Brad, the thing is flawless. I love it and I wouldn't change a thing. Very nice work my friend. Thank you very very much!
Enjoy the "After" pics
I did throw in the Paramilitary I had on me for some comparision shots. Here it is...
