Got a New Watch
Got a New Watch
I know there are several watch enthusiasts here so I thought I would share the the Watch my lovely wife gave me for our 10th anniversary. I have been eying this for some time but thought it was one of those things I could never have. She surprised the **** out of me for sure. Its a Tag Heuer Link Calibre S and I absolutely love it.

Nice Tag Tank. Your wife has good taste. That should last you years.
Datan, Those seikos are classics. Not many autos on the market outside of expensive Swiss watches anymore. The Seikos are some of the last. When I grew up that's pretty much all there was ( auto winds). I recall getting my first electronic watch back in the very early 70's. It was a TI, red LED ? Like the old calculators. You could get a Timex auto wind for about $12 and it would last years. I've got a Bulova from the 60's that's still running. Seikos are great watches. I've got 3 with that movement, all still running.
Nathan, that Rolex probably cost about as much as the truck I bought my son a few years back. A new Toyota Tacoma. Very nice!
My whole watch collection of around 40 watches combined probably didn't cost as much. I think the most expensive watch I've ever bought was the Omega "moon" watch.

This watch is unique. Tag put a lot of development in making an advanced quartz movement that involves a lot of classic mechanical watch pieces. How it works is pretty amazing. I don't have one unfortunately. I stick with my classic Omega Seamaster Professional (the one James Bond wears).Tank wrote:I know there are several watch enthusiasts here so I thought I would share the the Watch my lovely wife gave me for our 10th anniversary. Hi my name is Alex and I'm a Spyderholic :D
nice watch tank... my father gave me his old Tag, however it's so banged up that I need to have it fixed and it would cost me around $100...
allow me to share my watch... It's a 70's Seiko 6309-7040, it's great to see another Seiko fan...
