MBC, Ronin & Yojimbo

Greeting Sal,

I thought it was great when Spyderco started its MBC program. It showed Spyderco was a company not only willing to stand behind its products, but also as willing to stand up and provide training in justifiable self defense. As will as, trying to change the overall image of knife defense and carrying.

The next step is to produce a Flagship knife to go with MBC program. Yes, Spyderco does have a number of MBC knifes. But, what better ways consolidate the MBC program then to have the flagship knife, design be Spyderco’s own in-house MBC instructor, Mike Janich. The Ronin, Yojimbo, and of course trainers for both, would give Spyderco MBC that consolidation. As well as giving us (the customer) the best designed knife I’ve seen. Thanks for listening.

Dear Mr. Skin:

Thanks for the posting and the great vote of confidence. I truly appreciate your support and your willingness to speak your mind on MBC-related topics. I'll continue to do my best to make the program meet the needs of folks like you, and am confident that Spyderco will do the same.

Stay safe,

I was wondering if either the Ronin or, especially, the folding Ronin might be available for Christmas. Mr. Snody can't seem to make Ronins anywhere near fast enough to meet the demand, and is hopelessly backlogged.

Hey Qship,

From what was said at MBC this weekend, the Ronins should be out before X-mas. The folders are still in the wings. But, I'm with you man, there aren't coming fast enough. (Sal, thats a hint)

We did get to play with a Sydie Ronin. It feels great in the hand.

Ditto to what Gavin said! I had the great pleasure of training with Gavin at MBC Levels 3-4, and second his opinion on the Ronin. C'mon Sal, let's get those Ronins ready to roll!

Best,

Todd

Hey Todd,

Great working with you too. I look forward to see you at the MBC Camp. Did you get my e-mail?
