Indeed he was. I had not heard the sad news until today someone told me that, " some guy in Pink Floyd died." I of course asked who and they said that they didn't know but they thought it was the guitarist. My god I nearly started crying at that. I don't know what I would do if Gilmour kicked it. That would be almost as bad as losing SRV. Which reminds me, the SRV remembrance concert is coming up here in Dallas...

Sad new for sure. My heart just sank when I read the news last night. I had the privalage to see him perform with David Gilmour when they were in the USA a couple of years ago For Davids solo album tour.
Ah you are lucky. I always felt that I was born during the wrong musical era. Most of the people I would have like to have seen the most are playing in the great gig in the sky
