G-10 delica...HOLY CRAP!
G-10 delica...HOLY CRAP!
Ok folks, I went ahead and splurged and picked up a g-10 delica today.
I couldn't be more impressed. It's got great fit and finish and the feel of the g-10 is just fantastic!
this is definitely a keeper. I rarely buy two of any knife, but this might be one.
Nice job sal!
Question: are these limited run or are they here to stay?
thanks!!!!
Brett :)

great. I'm pretty new to this forum, so being a part of the stock line means you'll produce until at some point you discontinue, which will then be communicated here prior?TazKristi wrote:Limited production, but yes, they are part of the stock line and not a Sprint Run.

regardless, this is a fantastic knife. I'm in love.
thanks!

Yes, that's it exactly! Glad you are enjoying it.

There is nothing more important than this one day.
oh man, the foliage green is sweet. I'm not a huge fan of FG, but this appears so close to grey that I'm real hip on it's look.MLR wrote:Black or Navy Blue!
The Delica is such a mainstay, and the G10 version such an out-of-the-park hit.
Why not offer more colors!?!
The Delica is my favorite Spydie but I just can't pull the trigger on FG.
I am considering, however, buying another and then having it modded with another color g-10. Maybe orange or blue.

I finally got mine, and I love it, too! The Foliage green looks great with the silver pins - that color really is shade-shifting - cool. I put a steeper edge on mine and now it cuts like a laser. Honestly - now don't noone beat me - I wish it wasn't full flat, but very high flat ground. It just needs a little more strength and would look better. I'm not dissin' it - I really like it a lot, but that's how I feel about this knife. Full flat totally suits the Caly 3 - still my favorite - I can't stop loving it. The blade is just a smidgen wider and stronger. Long live the Delica - the Spydie I have the most of! :D
- best wishes, Jazz.

I'm actually pretty keen on the full flat. I agree that it's not as sturdy, but if I want something a bit more sturdy, I'll probably use my fixed blades.Jazz wrote:I finally got mine, and I love it, too! I agree. However, I took the clip off mine and just slip it in my pocket. It's nice for slacks carry.Spider bite wrote:This knife is great. The only improvement I could see would be a chrome clip. The black one clashes a bit.
I love this knife. I have to say in all honesty that I've been on the search for a perfect EDC for myself for the past year.
This is the first time that I've really been able to say, 'this could be it.' it just doesn't happen to me often.
I've given up on a couple other brands after some really crappy experiences, adn spyderco was kind of my last hope.
Looks like they came through.
Incidentally, the first nice pocket knife I ever bought was a delica in 1993 or so. I broke the tip off it in college and have no idea what happened to it.

I agree too. I guess the black clip is more 'tactical' though, which seems to be the idea for using the FG in the first place. I'd like Spyderco to include or sell an extra clip of a different colour (chrome, titanium, etc.) with some knives so you could dress them up fro different occasions.Spider bite wrote:This knife is great. it lacks only one thing though........
