White Goddard??

Post by J Smith »

I haven't seen any talk of it at all.Just got one and it is one of the highest QC Spydercos I have gotten in a while.I can not find anything at all off about it it any way.Just wish it was tip up carry.
Seems like these sprints that no one talks about are the hard to find ones later on,like the blue almite Walker.
Who else grabbed one?

I've been eyeballin that one for a while, it's one of the smoothest flowing and simple designs to ever come out of the spydie catalog, and I absolutely love micarta :D

Maybe it can be a late Bday present to myself :D

I would love it if it were completely PE. Looks like a great knife with great shape and everything.

Imagine that white micarta on sprint persian w/ a zdp blade. Yes, right!

The CE only config keeps me uninsterested in this one.

Just received mine from the Spyderco Online Store yesterday, along with the new Police models and the Rookie. The new Wayne Goddard Jr. is quite cool and well-made. I used to own the full-size Wayne Goddard with micarta handles and actually like the smaller size of the Jr. quite a bit. I consider the CE blade as part of the design's charm.

hi there,

I need to buy me one when they arrive in the Netherlands.
Why? well my first Spyderco was a Wayne Goddard Jr CE black micarta handle.
I bought that beauty in 1998 and it is still treasured in my collection.
When I have the white micarta Wayne Goddard it would be like yin/yang or brother and sister.

can't wait......

regards,

Werner

I REALLY like the way that white micarta looks, I think it would be great to see more spydies with this handle.

Thanks for sharing the pics, you don't hear much about this knife at all...

+1 CE means this isn't going home with me :(

I'd also prefer a different colour micarta, but then again I'm a picky guy ;)

Great knife Sal

Does anyone plan to carry and use this knife? I'd sure like to know if the handle will yellow with handling and show the grain of the micarta. I don't know if I can bring myself to get mine dirty. It is a beautiful knife and I'm glad to see the triumphant return of linerless micarta spydies. ;)

I remmeber Goddard's article in BLADE about it being availible in CE only. Those who bought it and whined that it wasnt PE ended up not buying the PE when it came avail and just continued using their CE ones

Just got mine today in the mail (as part of the latest CC box). I LOVE it. I love the rounded scales. I've never handled the black micarta Goddard Jr, so I have nothing to compare to. I'm putting it into my EDC rotation. It feels too good to sit in the drawer.

I've had my White Goddard just over a week now, and it certainly is pretty. I think the combo edge suits the design well. I haven't really used the knife, but the micarta already looks a little dirty in places. It's just one of the trade offs of having such a beautiful white handle I guess. I don't think I can bring myself to get mine peeling beets or weeding the garden. :o Not unless I get a second one as a safe queen. :D

Scored one today from the bay.
Could not resist, even though I prefer plain blade tip up carry.
Plan to snag all white Spydercos that go by.

Anyone have a list of all the white ones produced?

This one puts me at (5)

Thanks! :spyder:
