I love this Black Blade D4

This is my 1st Rookie and i had no idea it was smaller than the Delica, i thought forsure it would be a tad bit bigger, Im kinda glad its smaller though because it didnt replace my EDC Delica4

Nice, I just got my rookie a bit ago :D I saw the black delica, didn't really do it for me, but I'm not really a black blade kinda guy.

I like the Rookie, Looks like it would be a great EDC for when you need a nice Slim unobtrusive knife. ie, suit and tie, in Church...

No...

Actually the Rookie does not look that much smaller if smaller at all, than the Delica.

youre right its actually might be the same size but it feels alot smaller in my hand and when folded shut. i was hoping for something just a bit bigger than the D4, oh well still a really cool knife

Good pic.

I love how the rookie blade is not so "tall" from edge to spine. I however see that if you push the Rookie forward a little bit so both handles start at the same place that the Rookie handle is just a tiny bit smaller. That doesn't bother me at all. I really think the Rookie is a cool knife. I love the splinter picker tip too. :D

More pics. :D

Well Lets see if I can help out with the rookie pics a bit. Here it is next to my FRN Delica 4 as well as a UKPK. Just for measure ment sake the Rookie is .300" thick the Delica and UKPK are .385" thick. For example the Delica is 3 credit cards thicker than the Rookie. The Delica blade length (cutting edge) is 2.55"
Rookies: 2.75"

So the Rookies has more blade in a much smaller size.

Anyways to the photos.

Brad,

Awesome pics. That puppy is sure thin. Does anyone have any issues opening the Rookie due to the hole being partially buried in the handle? This is a big deal for me.

Thanks :)

Not a problem opening it at all. My thumb grabs it wonderfully. Or if you do the index finger open it works great as well.
