Calypso Reborn

I just received the 2002 catalog. It was quite a surprise to see the spirit of the full size Calypso folder reborn as the fixed blade "Temperance" ! Anyone know where they are available now?

They have the fixed-bladed Temperance for $119.95 in either PE or Combo Edge. They also have some new Salsa's out. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

So the logical deduction is that Spyderco has taken a total hit design, changed it a little, charged a lot more and viola. A high priced "improved" Calypso Jr. Hmmm.

Bell, I'm not so sure if that's the way it went. The Temperance FB is based on the Temperance Jr and are Sal's designs as were the Calypsos. I think the similarity between the Temperance FB and the Calypso is due to their design origins.

I've got to say. I've been eyeing a fixed blade for a while and the Temperance definitely catches my eye. I had considered picking up a Moran drop-point, but the Temperance appeals to me much more.
