I've been diagnosed since I was 7 or 8. 21 now.
Been off treatment for two years for lack of insurance/funds. Getting back on now as I have insurance and just barely enough for the co-pays. The costs are eating me and I find myself down in the dumps a lot about it. Going in for a colonoscopy and EGD this Friday and I'm worried about what they'll find.
Needless to say, no Spydies for me for a while.

Anyone else have Crohn's Disease?
:spyder:
I don't, but I have some friends who do. Also, my favorite band is Pearl Jam, and PJ's guitar player, Mike McCready, has Crohns. Check out these interviews with him: http://http://www2.healthtalk.com/go/cr ... es-crohn-s and http://http://www.crohnsandme.com/pearljam/
I donate to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation and do what I can. I will be having part of my colon removed at the end of summer due to repeated bouts of diverticulitus, but that is nothing compared to what you're going through. You have my sympathy. I hope you can find something that works for you. Don't lose hope!

My girlfriend's mother was diagnosed with Crohn's a couple of years ago. Once she was diagnosed and that flare-up treated properly she hasn't had any more problems. The doctors couldn't believe that she hasn't had any more flare-ups, but she has been VERY careful to follow the diet they gave her. As far as I know, she isn't taking any medication now, just avoiding any foods that would set off problems.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.
