Just got a Harpy!!

#1

Post by mike »

Just a few minutes ago, I was at the store and I bought a SS harpy. What an awesome knife. I debated about whether to buy a serrated cricket or the harpy, and I decided to go with the harpy. I can't get over how sharp the tip is. I've seen hunderds of pictures of it, but nothing compares to finnally owning the harpy. I was just wondering, how many of you carry a harpy on a regular basis? I'm just a little hesitant to carry it everywhere because it's such a sharp looking (and potentially menacing) knife. What's everybody's thoughts?

Thanks,

Mike

i dont have a harpy (yet) but i have a merlin which is more or less the same knife with a different handle and i havent had any problems with carrying it. i did a bad thing the other day...i had to go to the court house and i forgot to leave it in the car and carried it through the metal detector. there was 2 sheriffs deputys and a city cop hanging around and they thought it was a pretty neat knife. i explained to them that i had just forgot about it and they took it at the door and gave it back to me on the way out...no big deal. in most states i believe that as long as its not over the maximum blade length that state allows (oklahoma's is 4 inches) its legal no matter how wicked the blade is.

Greetings all,

It's nice to finally join the forum.

I carry my harpy everywhere I go. It's just a matter of which one to carry, the G-10 handle or the SS. It's a great all-purpose knife. Good luck with it as I am sure it will serve you well.
