...and i love the blade and I like the handle, but I kinda really wish it was stainless. Does anyone know if I could buy a stainless D4 and swap out the blades? Are they interchangeable or was the D4 completely redone?

The Delica 4 is all screw construction, while the Delica 3 is pinned. If I'm not mistaken. :)

Why don't you just buy a D4 SS to compliment your D3? That pic is huge, by the way. :p

D3 is pinned, D4 is screw construction, the pivots are different sizes so the blades will not interchange without a whole lot of work.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.
