sry. that made no sense... allow me to translate... when people go and piss me off by comparing spyderco to jaguar or frost and then saying that spyderco is a peice of crap, how do I prove them wrong? (aside from showing them my receits) (and killing them.)

Hi Wiley. My Dad said, "Never argue with a fool. Onlookers can't tell which one is the fool".

There is an old Taoist saying:

"Those who know don't need to be told, those who don't know never will."

While this refers to the Tao, it is also true of "quality."

The version I heard was :
Never argue with a fool, they'll always try to drag you down to their level.

"Walk softly, but carry a big stick."

Wiley, Look at it this way......
You KNOW your knife is best and the
person you're talking to KNOWS their knife
is best so there is NO room for discussion.

When I meet people like this I invite them to try
a Spyderco to see if they might like it better. I
KNOW that the spyderco will spoil them and I
will have proved my point with no argument.

Kinda sneaky huh? If they aren't willing to try
a spyderco then they have also just proved my point
on who has the facts. Again, Kinda sneaky huh??

This is a bill for $140 for your Chinese folder.

This is a bill for the Chinese folder knock off. The bill is $10,014. $14 for the knife and $10,000 for the surgery to fix the nerve damage after the faulty liner lock failed.

Hi Wiley. I know who you're talking about--when God was passing out brains, they were in the same line with the Three Stooges.

Don't get angry. Just smile and walk away happy with the thought that you were not in the same line with them.

... before you walk away... tell them they just might like a Spydie seeing that the Spydie hole is large enough for them to pass their brain through it... <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

As it said on a fraternity shirt I saw once, "From the outside looking in, you can't understand it. From the inside looking out, you can't explain it.".

People will blunder along with their misconceived notions until there is a compelling reason to change those notions. Laying hands on a Spydie is compelling enough for some, but you can't change them all.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

I know what you mean Wiley. One day I was showing my former supervisor my new Dragonfly, he said hey you can get a hole bag of those from SMKWs for $10.00. I just said yep, and walked off!! RKBA!
