If You could only have ONE?
If you could only have one Folder, which would it be?
I'm talking to use and carry everyday.
Forget about the Size laws and the Non-Knife people.
I want to know what you would have in your pocket and why.

A Man Without his Knife is like a Bear Without its Claws.
medium dyad...
for me the ideal could be a medium dyad for every day:
-PE for eat or precise working..
-SE for opening packets, hard work or self defense...
the mini is a little too small and the dyad is a little too big for EDC
so a medium one in CF why not ?....
yeah yeah I know it's not the subjet so the C 34 is the best actual for me.

For me, if I had to get rid of all but one of my knives, it would be my BG-42 Military.
- The steel is awesome and takes and holds a real scary sharp edge.
- The CF handles are nice and grippy and very lightweight. They look good too.
- Blade length and shape are perfect for everything I generally need it for and I rarely, if ever, wish I had more blade.
- Fits my hands nicely with any grip.
- I like finger choils.
- I love FFG blades.
- It carries light and compact for such a big knife.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! :D

If I will have to do this, I would keep my C83 Persian.
It fit to my hand like a glove, greatest ergos, and excellent cutter and looks beautiful. IMHO C-83 is the masterpiece.

Would have a tough time with this....
It'd be one of these (yes, I don't own all of them)
Superhawk, [big] Manix, Chinook II, [big] Dyad, or possibly a Dodo, Spyker, or Captain.
Of what I own at this moment, if I could pick from those, as much as I love my Dodo and Spyker and other knives, the big Manix it would be.
I love the way the manix fits my hand, the way it feels so reassuring and solid, the great flat ground blade, the perfect CE edge, blade steel, and how sharp I can get it...
Thankfully, I do not need to make this one knife and one knife only decision :D

For my answer, substitute "CPM-D2" for "BG-42" and "G-10" for "CF".Billy wrote:For me, if I had to get rid of all but one of my knives, it would be my BG-42 Military.

This is a very tough decision. I would have to go with a Manix. The Mini Manix has a strong lock, super grippy G10, S30v blade. The ergonomics and finger choil are just about perfect. I love the snap when opening and closing it.
Never handled the big Manix, but have handled a Chinook III. I believe they would be somewhat similiar in feel despite the blade shapes. Either Manix would work for me.
Coming in as a second choice would be a Military, Para, Dodo. Hard choice...

It's better to have knife and not need it than to need a knife and not have it.

No hesitation...the D'Allara Drop Point.
A down and dirty work knife done right. Beautiful ergonomics, balance and handling characteristics. Practical and versatile blade geometry suited to a broad spectrum of tasks. *Strong* secure lock and exceptionally smoooooth action.
Really, when it comes down to it, I could do it all with this one knife...except possibly split cord wood and fell trees.
