My favorite Spydi is the Harpy with the G-10 handle and the reversible clip. I like this by it's looks and because it was used in the move "Hannible" and the charactor Hannible Lector used it in that movie. But that isn't the only reason i like it, i have more reasons but i will not get into it right now.

PE Military. Strong enough for most work but it doesn't weigh down my pocket like some of the heavier knives.

Yeah those all are great knifes i like the Endura and the Merlin and the Civilian. The Civi is a great knife it has a nice wieght and it is long enough to do most things, but there is one bad thing about the civi! the tip of the blad is very fragile. It looks like it will break real easy. But i may be wrong.

I almost never carry my Civilian for that very reason. It leaves the house only when I know I won't need a "work" knife.

I would have to say the Green Lum Folder. I really like the blue one, but its limitedness makes me less likely to carry it. I have this with me, almost every day, except for those days that I feel like carrying my Wegner, or my Chinook. I also carry a Meerkat with me everyday, just so I have a small knife that I can take out and not scare others, too much.

Fav?

That would be my serrated Starmate. A close second would be the Native FRN. Did I mention that I really love my Starmate? <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

My favorite is almost always my newest. Then, after the new wears off a little, it's back to the Delica, Endura, and my Millie. Three great knives.

I just picked up the S.S. version of the Endura and love it!!!! I've been carrying the S.S. native and like it a lot too. The chinook and gunting are also favorites of mine.

My frn plain-edged Endura rocks!
I always loved carrying a Schrade LB7 folding hunter when I was a kid. But they're so **** heavy you either have to wear 'em on a belt sheath (not for me, thanks) or cinch up the old belt extra tight so your pants don't fall down from the excess tonnage. With the Endura, I get a strong knife that's even a bit bigger but light as a feather and still quite "pocketable." I live in a warm climate and am in t-shirt and shorts whenever possible. I can clip the Endura to my cargo shorts and never know it's there until I need it. Very utilitarian blade shape and I love the ATS-55 steel.

As an aside - I recently made a trip to Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic. Carried the Endura everywhere, even using it several times in "mixed company" (i.e. around potential non knife types) with no problems or negative reactions. For ex., the wife and I were in a crystal shop downtown and she needed to open a piece that had been bubble-wrapped and taped. Before the clerk could find her scissors or box cutter, I quickly drew out the Endura and handed it to my wife, who sliced open the package without the blink of an eye and handed the knife back to me .... she's finally begun taking my knife fetish for granted! :-) Still, I thought after she returned the knife to me, in America I'd instinctively be afraid that the clerk would "wig out" at the site of the Endura and make some lame "Who you gonna kill with that?" crack. All in all, a very refreshing encounter. And while I have no idea what the Czech laws are concerning carrying knives, I had it clipped to my pocket the whole time and never thought twice about it. Great trip. Great city. Great knife.

Out of a growing number of Spyderco's my Calypso JR lightweight PE is still the preferred EDC. Very light, grippy, and sharp.

This question is difficult on any Spydie Nut. Everyone reach down and count your knives you are carrying. For me it's six today. Mouse on a sheath, in my 5 pockets Starmate, CF Cricket, Almite Walker, CF Walker and a Cris Reeves Small Sebenza. Please let us keep our options wide open. rr

the merlin, the delica, or the endura....I haven't decided which.... Because of their concealability.
