In case anyone is interested, there are 2 spiderflys (nib) on bladeforums for sale currently... I dont have the spare cash for them, but I'd love to see them go to someone here, rather than a random joe! :spyder:

Anyone know if the Spyderfly is legal in Canada? Would it get across the border?

UPS does not work. USPS has worked in the past. It is illegal. Do not be surprised if it does not arrive. Some customs confiscate assisted openings like kershaw and some linerlocks because of its loose pivot. Be aware that a cop will most likely confiscate the knife on sight. If you(or anyone) convince a police officer that the balisong was used as a tool, you(or anyone) should be a lawyer. Just so you know, don't ever ask this on Bladeforums. People get banned for it. Plus, never ship more than one balisong per shipment(as recommended by knifezilla.com).

Easiest way to get it through the border is disassemble it and ship the handles in one bag and the blade (taped) in another. Then your shipping parts and not a whole knife.
There ain't no rules around here. We're trying to accomplish something.

First of all, yes balisongs are illegal in Canada. Secondly, lets not get into talks about how to get one into Canada by illegal nature.
