Margaret Moran passed away on Friday. She will be greatly missed by the entire knife community. <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

From Bladeforums thread

As many of you know Margaret Moran has been very ill.

I heard from Jerry F. this morning that she passed away last night.

As Jerry noted, this is a sad day. Considering how close Bill and Margaret are, our heats and sympathy go out to Bill with hopes that he will find comfort. He is blessed with a wonderful woman in his life. May he be blessed with wonderful memories of Margaret.

Bill said if any one wanted to give a memorial please give it to the ABS endowment fund in Margaret's name.

The last two times that I am aware of when she was with Bill at a knife gathering (Bill's last hammer-in in Texarcana and the Blade Show) she spoke of her family. Her family as she claimed them were makers and collectors. When she spoke of her family, it was obvious those words rang true to her and came from her heart. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in many of our hearts.

"A sad day indeed".

A loss like that at this time of year is doubly hard.

My Best Wishes for Bill and everyone who can't be with their loved ones for the Holidays.
