But to answer you - no handles - no sheath included, to keep the costs down. You will only need one set of handles & one sheath for the whole series they will all be made the same :)

Thanks for the heads up! I must have been checking the site a dozen times a day.

After a hard day at work and the Mule's are gone already? :(

What gives?

Edit:I just checked the other Mule threads....looks as if I jumped to "conclusions" too quickly...I hope! :)

Let me just say this really makes me mad about these selling out before I get a chance to buy one. I wait months after sending multiple emails, participate in multiple threads, and even have called several times in the last couple weeks checking on availability so that I could get one. I called as recently as noon pacific today to hear that they weren't released, and now I find out they are all gone. I guess those of you quick enough to grab up your handfuls enjoy them, because I guess I won't get to try one. I wish this could have been handled better for those of us who sent in the e mails and waited extremely patiently only to be out of luck.

Sold out on this site.

NGK has no reord of them that I can find. A search of "mule" returns zip.

Google comes up dry.

From the start we were told that a reservation list would be made of those interested in testing the mules and enough would be made to provide for those people and then some. From the start I and many others have sent in our email addresses and shown our interest in every way possible.

If I read resent posts correctly the list will not be made and it is now first come first served except for CC members. Is that correct? If so, the only people who will be able to reliably obtain different steels to compare will be the CC members. The rest of us will test whatever we can get our hands on but nothing like the entire line as first stated.

Sal,
I'm sure you've been overloaded lately, but could you shed some light on this with a clear post of your current intentions? You've tried to offer the community a once in a lifetime (for most of us) chance and appreciate it. But I feel it slipping away.

Hold on just a sec, as far as we know, only the first 50 have sold out of the online store. So anyone's best guess is there are 550 left of them. They just didn't put them all up for sale on the website at once.

I hope that is the case but there has been no indication from Spyderco that that is the case.

What we have is an information vacuum and a reality that appears to be at odds with expectations. If I need to adjust my expectations down to a series of limited runs that are cast to the winds of chance, fine. But I would like to hear that from the man.

We have been informed by a member of the forum who was at the SFO who knows they put only 50 on the site. It is very late and I would not expect that any one is sitting up at Spyderco HQ to assure us that we will get our mules.

Seriously, what are the odds that 600 of these knives sold in less than 12 hours. A little patience & I'm sure it will be straightened out on the website.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

The Mule looks great. I love the handle/blade shape, and that sounds like an awesome blade steel at 62 RC. Really a cool idea.

I'm sure there will be more available soon.

Well, I just ordered one, so there must be more. I got a little pissed last night before I read that only 50 were initially released.
