So,
since I had couple more Dodo's, (more pics in the pic gallery) I took a leap of faith and took apart my user.
At first my plan was to smooth out some places inside, since there's a little scratching sound when I close the blade. ALSO now that I have 3 of them, I can tell, that the SE version acts totally different from the PE versions.
The ball slides out longer when the blade is open, and this thing just snaps open and close, without any scratching noises.

Could it be the "second" version?

Back to the old one I took apart:

I found out that there's some plastic????? washers. Whattaheck??
Are those supposed to last long... I think I'll have to get some F-bronze ones..

here's some crappy pics, didn't have too much time to adjust lightning, I was too busy to take apart AND to put together that bird.

plastic washer..

I polished the "ramp" for the ball with Autosol.. to make it slide easier. Used some back marker to mark where the blade is, so I could smooth out only minimal amount of G-10..

After the fix, the ball comes out as long as the SE versions, but there's still a little scratching sound.
Well, I guess I can live with it..

Those are the correct washers. The PB ones you'll be able to buy will almost always be far too thick compared to the ones that came with it. Use those. All they do is turn some with the blade as it pivots. They'll wear an incredible amount of time believe it or not.

A few yes. Only four though. And proudly every one of them could go right back to the factory set up if one wanted to do that.

Sorry my bad english, I meant, that I really do know that You have re-done dodo's, and that you most definitely know what you are talking about.. Hope I didn't say anything the wrong way around, it's always not easy to say what i mean, when my native language isn't english.
