After more than a year of fruitless bidding, I finally picked up a used C25 – my nemesis :) But now the search is over (unless a NIB one turns up at a decent price of course), and I have both the C25 and the C50 in G10 as part of my collection. Very very happy
Here they are:
P.S. I've since changed the clip on C25 to a smaller black one, which I prefer, but which does not look as good in photos. Also, it seems that the spyder plate has fallen out in the past and was glued on upside down by the previous owner ... it fell out again, and I've glued it in place correctly this time :) Anyway, what an awesome pair of knives!!!

I too have been looking for a G-10 C25 with no luck as of yet ! New or used.
The secondary lock is called a "Centafonte SecurLok "
Congratulations on your find , a very nice pair!
regards,SSB :spyder:
those pair look REALLY cool, and sharp. But I can't help myself to wonder how practical were these knives when they first came out, I mean there is no jimping, choil nor a notch to stop you fingers from slipping onto the sharp blade
Congrats on your new Spydie. The C25 is one of my favs and I find no problem with the lack of jimping or contours for your fingers because the G-10seems textured enough to provide a good grip for most tasks, although I never would consider this or the C50 to be a "hard use" knife.
I have a question about the blade markings. I see by the photos that olorin15's new peice has "ATS-34" and "Golden, Colorado" on one side of the blade opposite the clip. I have a C-25 PL that has no blade markings at all, nothing, nada. No steel type, no city of origin, no serial number or anything.
My other C-25, which is serrated, has "ATS-34" and the serial number on one side and "Golden, Colorado" on the clip side, again different from the photos shown here.
Altough my plain edge version is blank, it looks new and unused. I first thought that I may have gotten a counterfit knife, but if that's the case, I'll take more because it is otherwise perfect. Anyone know about these variations?
Tech a Billy - I've not seen, either in person or in pictures, a C25 with a blade that was totally sterile as you describe. Someone else here with more experience collecting may know something, but it's a mystery to me. Do you recall where/when you got it?
olorin15 - In appreciation of some friendly jealousy, here's a somewhat better picture of the Centofantes. :)
I have been looking for one of those as well. To be honest, I dont really want one, I just want to understand the design behind the knife. Thats the same reason I picked up a Dodo. Course After holding it, the Dodo ended up in my pocket and its one of my favorite knives. Maybe this one will be to.

It appears from your picture that the handles are somewhat whity/dried out.
If you rub the G10 with a cloth with Ballistol the handles will look close to new. Just a thought :o
Would Tuf Cloth work as well? I did not realize these could clean G10 handles as well as protect the metal parts.

hey olorin15, congrats on the Centofante's....
Tuf Cloth might work but you'd "waste" a lot of the Tuf Glide on those G-10 handles..... I got great results "rehydrating" my G-10 handles with Mineral Oil...
