Very nice pictures Daniel, but some of your grips made me nervous. :D
Is it how you got your Ronin? :)

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Both the Ronin and the Ayoob were from a very good friend in the UK. They were actually sent out to some of my friends here in Oz. But in a roundabout way these Aussie mates have passed them on to me to fully enjoy :D

I am still looking for the few elusive ones so I can photograph them. SE Ayoob was one that I missed out on earlier :( and the JD Smiths in black micarta too. It's funny how when you look back and think... bugger.... maybe I should've got them.... oh well, there's always another day :p

More photos will come soon :)

Let's continue. Introducing Mr JD Smith in FG clothing :D

A lot of talk in here and other forums about this latest release. I believe it is one of the better new releases. Very nice pointy tip, solid lined G10 handles, nice matt finish on the clip, beautifully flat ground for awesome slicing power ! Nice handle ergos to accomodate most hand sizes from small to medium/large. No Boye Dent for easier disengagement of lock and seamless continuation of the silhoutte on the spine side.

As per normal photos are taken in my 'studio' (outside my house :p ), today shot with my Canon P&S, and also as per usual no Photoshopping required - knife does all the work :D Overcast afternoon great for shiny bits.

Autumn in Sydney with D2 Millie

#288

Post by ozspyder »

With the lovely colours of Autumn upon us here is Sydney I couldn't resist grabbing my P&S camera with me whilst I did some gardening. The D2 Millie (thanks Curtis :) ) accompanied me in my gardening duties today and it came in handy a few times.

Whilst taking a break I decided to shoot the FG G10 D2 Military in a few spots around the garden. A long overdue post this one.... about time I got back to taking some pics. Enjoy :D

Great pictures! I really like the first one with the sunlight and shadows falling on the G-10 almost made it look like camo at first glance

A few of one of my favourites :p This one is similar to the one I EDC. Simple, elegantly classic. The Kopa Cocobolo.

The Original and the best JD Smith PE :D

Image

Image

This one will be passed on to one of my Aussie mates (Buglerbilly here in these forums :D ) for being more than generous to me since I have known him. Right now I am trying to convince him that this will make an excellent user. I might scratch it up for him so he's forced to use it instead of wrapping it in cotton wool :p

Now you know you won't do that, I'll tell your Wife how many knives and others toys you ACTUALLY have NOT the ones she thinks you have............ :D

I am more than looking forward to it to join my Black Serrated version, another pristine version, plus the new-ish FG version issued earlier this year...........

Nice toys Daniel.
For some reasons I do not feel that Persian shots are "quick n dirty", I love them.
Nice Cocobolo shots. It is beautiful.
"The Original and the best JD Smith PE" - I feel the same way and recently I got lucky to get one, great knife, no so sure that mine became a user :)
Thank you for sharing

Here are a few more Persian shots on a new toy I bought today ahem...'for my son' ahem :p

Image

Image

The knife is a my Large Persian user, the figurine is a 12" Master Chief. I must say I bought it cos it'd look OK as a substitute to my Sven knife prop figurine from Ikea. His weapon retention isn't so good though. He is slightly heavier than a normal sized GI Joe action figure but still probably not heavy enough to hold a Manix :D ****, he can't even grip his own supplied rifle properly !

Note: Master Chief's use of the choil - though I did correct him a bit as he was holding it slightly fore of the belly of the choil.... fingers get cut that way I said ! He agreed but said that if I forced him to hold it any other way he would stab me :p
