One of the first spyderco knives I picked up was a FRN Dragonfly. Great little knife. I just always felt the handle and clip were a little lacking.
This was my answer. As well somewhat inspired by Gullwing's G-11 dragonfly.
So here you go. I also recommend that anyone with the dragonyfly add jimping, it makes all the difference in the world.

I came by the SFO today hoping to show it to either Gail or you. Alas it seems you were not there. Some other time I suppose.
Thanks for the compliments.
This is #1 of 3 I'm modifying. This was my "proto" now that I know what not to do, as well that I really like it in G-10 (huge improvement) I doing one more SE and one more plain for my GF.

YES!
I've 'gotten by' with a G10 Robin but I would *love* to get my hands on something like this.
Don't suppose Brad is up for custom orders? :)

That's probably the best Dragonfly that I've ever seen. That thing is just awesome.
I think Sal is right when he says "maybe we should copy you". At least on making a D'fly with G10.
Black G10 is just freaking awesome. It can make almost any knife look fantastic (in my opinion). :)
I know there are some folks (Paul) that don't like G10. :D

That thing is absolutely beautiful. That's one I'd love to see in a strange color of G-10, but I guess I'm just a little weird like that.
I also love the wire clip. Please build it sal! (and make it affordable :D )

Indeed
When I first saw the pictures I thought that there was either a sprint that I hadn't heard about or that a new proto was being shown. This is REALLY impressive work. The fit and finish of the scales, the embedding of the mini wire clip, consistency of the jimping, and even the torx head screws had me thinking this was a factory job. It even looks like a logical next step for the evolution of the DFly.
AMAZING work, Tricod!!!!

I just got my first D'fly a few weeks ago and that thing is a little monster!! If spyderco did make a nice G10 version of this thing I would buy at least two. It would be the perfect EDC variant, like for me I carry a PE Caly3 and than a SE d'fly. I would love a G10, wire low rider clip, etc. etc.

That’s exactly what I was thinking when I designed it. My EDC is a ZDP PE Caly 3, or a PE Para-Military and I figured the perfect compliment to it would be a SE Dragonfly. I like to keep it clipped in my back pocket and it fits perfectly with the low ride clip. Which is why I'm building another one in SE and one in PE for my GF.

I used the same method Arnon used on this Calypso Jr.
arnon wrote:calypso jr. zdp with jimping
Dremel with 3 cutting wheels 2 new on the outside one smaller "used" in between, only to create the gap 5 minutes mod.. Read about it here or in the bladeforum, finally got the nerve to do it :D :D
Be well Arnon

Well, I might be up for some orders. I can CNC out the G-10 without to much trouble. The hard part is drilling the blade. So maybe.
But I need to ok that with Sal before I would say yes for sure.
Plus, he would do a much better job then I could.

you carry your D'fly just like I carry mine. In the back pocket just to have something with teeth on you. However bc of the clips on the dfly I often carry my meerkat instead.
