Question about Peter Herbst ti model
Well it's been about a year now, I thought I was cured! I'll have to relinquish my ten month chip! I guess I should have gotten a better sponsor. I went to the knife shop just to spend 50 bux. There it was in the case, a Peter Herbst ti handled P/E... WOW!! I had to hold, to open it, it's sure is purty! It has a German blade, I thought Japan and Colorado were the only two to produce. Does anyone know if it's rare, any info would be appd. I've got it on hold, that and a serrated Harpy! They are asking 170.00 for the Herbst. Is that a fair price? I saw all those Spydies and got dizzy. Does anyone know of a twelve step program for Spydies? The motto could be "one Spydie at a time". Also tried the Massad knife, it is like you're pointing a gun. Probably get that next, I'm hooked again, **** you Sal (just kidding) why did you have to make your knives so desirable? The plain edge "Q" is long gone but not to worry, I'll drown my sorrows with two new Spydies!! Also Kahz don't take offense I would never trade my wife for three Spydies. It would take at least five, ten if she could cook! I'm not even married, just foolin around!!
"Back on the wagon" (or is that off the wagon?)

Hi Hoosierdaddy, the original Peter Herbst model is a very VERY collectable item. The knife has been produced by BOKER Tree Brand in Solingen, Germany. The knife is very special because it has had a very difficult birth. Production was very slow to start and the numbers were very low (less than 600). The blade is 440C and the scales are Titaniun with blue anodised lines on them. The new model has a VG10 blade and Almite coated aluminum scales. The knife is a very good EDC and this knife will gain value in no time! Very desirable indeed. Buy this knife NOW!

Clay and jurphaas... thanks for the info, one more question? I found out the shop has one more Herbst available, a plain edge. The one I have on hold is a 50/50. Which would be better? My choice is the 50/50. The shop is having a 20% off sale soon, that's why I'm waiting.

Hi Hoosierdaddy, Don't wait too long to fetch this one HD! Being involved with knives, cutlery and the knife show circuit in Europe, makes me biased a bit. I am also very well acquainted with this company and the head honcho himself. HD, I believe that serrated knives are ment to cut and cut aggressively. I like serrations because they make cutting easy. I use full serrated for my EDC. Think and go with what you prefer or buy both!

jurphaas, I'm so anxious been calling every other day. Thought about buying both, have Harpy on hold too. I might even get the Massad Ayoob P/E they have as well. Originally was just to spend 50 bux but I'm sure you now how that goes! I guess I just got myself some presents... at least I know what I want for Christmas!!

Just got Herbst ti,
Well I now own a Herbst ti 50/50 #520. The plain edge they had was an almite. They do have another 50/50 ti #671. If anyone is interested call House Of Cutlery @ 714 826-7880 They want 169.95 (got mine for 146.00 OTD) I know someone was looking for a blue Centofante, I checked and they did not have. I got the box, warranty card, Spydie booklet and the lot. Can't wait to show it off.
