Pimped Stretch

#1

Post by Andre V »

My stretch is one of my favourite :spyder: .

The krayton inlay always bothered me, it caught on my pants when taking the knife out of my pocket and when putting the knife back.

I have been making knives for just over a year and a half now and decided to use some of my recently acquired skills to modify my stretch.

My new/old stretch : anso type texturing(yes i have his permission) to the g10 scales and Ti bolsters. 1.6mm Ti liners and a adjustable pivot. Lock up is better than before but is still a bit tight, i expect it to ease after a few openings.

Let me know what you think.

Wow I really like that. The Ti bolsters look awesome as does the G10. Really nice job. Now I would buy that kind of Stretch. :)

This is the one good looking knife. Great job. I am amazed by this magic.
I always was thinking about Stretch like "ugly and functional", but this baby is the beauty. Thank you for sharing.

Very nice work! The Stretch is one of my three favorite Spyderco models. It has great ergos, fantastic blade to handle length ratio, full flat grind, nice big Spyderhole, and a very utilitarian blade shape.

My friend that looks great. I like it better than original, by alot in fact. (never cared much for the look of the stretch). Good work. I ould love to see more of your work.

I'm currently finishing up a G-10 Dragonfly with a wire clip (will be post soon), so I always like seeing what others are doing.

I don't think "pimped" is the correct word to describe this knife, it's gorgeous.

I also like the original Stretch, as Sal did when he tought he created the
ultimate knife! ( there is no ultimate knife, that's why some of us will
keep going on buying, hoping the next knife will be "the one").

VERY nice! Thanks for sharing! I agree totally with Deacon's description of the Stretch. I've handled one and loved it, but I'm hopefully waiting for an FRN or G10 VG10 Stretch...... I SERIOUSLY want one ( or 2 ). :D Again, very nice job!

- best wishes, Jazz.
