Swapping Manix and Chinook III blades...

I know it probably wouldn't work. And I probably won't even try. But as I compare my Manix to my Chinook III, the appear exactly matched in size, screw location, everything about the blade/lock interface is a perfect duplicate.

Probably the handle on the Chinook would be a little short... or the blade of the Manix would hit something in the Chinook handle... but just looking at them next to each other, it seems like it might be possible.

Maybe there's not even a good reason to try, except to make something unique. Then again, the Manix blade is the greatest, and I love the Chinook's handle.

Anybody ever try?

:spyder: would the manix handle cover the chinook tip? :spyder:

I bet the Manix blade would go into the Chinook II or III handle. I think like Michael Cook stated, that the Chinook blade would probaby stick up out of the Manix handle. :D

Assuming you're skillful enough to tune the locks, looks like there's a good chance it would work. Only "issue" I can see is that the tip of the Chinook blade might be exposed in front of the Manix's rear handguard.
