I like your style, peacant. I often have a SAK, TIP or SE Tasman on me as well :)

This has been my EDC lately. Pretty happy with the light so far, its the newest addition. Considering going back to an Alox SAK instead of the Micra. Found an old alox farmer I used to EDC while going through some boxes and I forgot how nice they are.

The Szabo grows on me more every month. When I first got it I felt a little lukewarm towards it. The edge was kind of thick, opening real stiff, and it made me question whether I got the knife just because it looked cool, and carrying a plain ol Military would be more practical.

The more time I spend with it the less I want to carry anything else. Its very smooth after working the pivot and adding some lube. It cuts extremely well with the thinned out edge. It feels so capable in my hands, up for any cutting task I might come across. Same way the original full sized Manix made me feel the first time I held it.

That's the old ribbed alox Cadet if I'm not mistaken.

I like your thinned out Szabo edge... It's also refreshing to see a Micra as the small blade. I love the 3-4 inch Spydies, but prefer the SAKs or keychain MT's over the small Spydies as a small blade option.

Thanks for the info. I recently came across an Alox Farmer I used to carry on hikes, and it has me considering a 2 layer alox model for EDC.

I've tried some small Spydercos but I get more utility out of something like a Micra. Small blade and scissors for situations when the Szabo is overkill, and having a few screwdriver tips is nice.
