If I may, the orange thing is a Exotac nano striker, it's a cool fire starter. Rod and striker all in one.

Azwaiin called it

I like knowing i can always start a fire if my lighter fails. Ive used it a few times and it works great for it's size.

I made it myself. It's titanium and heat anodized. Here is a closer pick of another one I made.

That's some excellent work with the clip. Is that something you might be willing to make and sell to others?

Same. I would be interested in getting one. Or would appreciate any tips on making one you care to share.

Thanks for the complement Monocrome it means a lot. I wouldn't feel right selling them. I just copied the idea from another member on another forum and made them for myself.

There really not all that hard to make. I have seen some people on other forums make them out of the end of spoons and even brass door hardware.

I got some Ti that looked like this from a another forum member.

I just cut it to size and bent it over in the clip shape. THen drilled the hole and shaped it. Then finished it with some sandpaper of different grits.

Here are some work in progress shots.

I tried to stonewash one but didn't like how it turned out so I heat anodized it purple. It's a fun little project and all I you really need is a dremel and some free time.

Sorry if this was to off topic for some guys.
